A note from Gabrielle
I am so proud to be your Greens candidate for Richmond in the upcoming State election
I’m the former Yarra Mayor and your current councillor, and I’ve lived and worked in the Richmond electorate for almost 20 years.
I care deeply about what our community wants and will fight for you in the state parliament.
Our area already has Greens representatives at the Federal and Council level. Now we have the opportunity to have a Greens state MP as well, one that acts on their values rather than a backbencher under the sway of the factions.
As Mayor of Yarra, I oversaw a huge transition from gas to renewable energy among community centres in Collingwood, locked in seven new open spaces in the municipality, created new bike infrastructure and shared zones, made outdoor dining a permanent feature of our streetscapes, and most importantly, supported those in need during the pandemic.
Now I’m ready to get into State Parliament and push the next government to go further and faster on climate action, housing affordability, and equality.
